Franklin County man pleads guilty to sex crime | Crime

A Franklin County man pleaded guilty to enticing a child for immoral purposes, just before his trial was set to begin.

60 year old Arnulfo Renteria was sentenced to 10 years in prison after reached the plea deal. The victim's family agreed to the plea before it was accepted.

According to court records, Renteria was accused of sexually abusing an 11 year old girl in Russellville on Christmas morning of 2011.

Renteria also admitted being in the country illegally during the plea hearing. He will serve at least three years in prison and be placed on probation for five years after his release, if he stays in the country.

District Attorney Joey Rushing says he'll likely be deported to Mexico after serving his time.
